About Rinke Heederik

Rinke Heederik (1979) was born and raised in Soest in the province of Utrecht the Netherlands. After graduating professional photography, Rinke developed his skills in 'classic' photography and graphic design.

He began photographing in the late 1990s primarily focused on black-and-white portrait photography, photos he developed himself in the darkroom.

In 2010 he and his wife, Berthine, launched a successful business in wedding photography. Rinke's work has been awarded several prizes and publications in both wedding photography and portrait photography.

In 2016, Rinke and Berthine moved to an authentic 'keuterij' (small farmhouse) in the province of Groningen. There, they embarked on a new adventure: growing their own food in an environmentally friendly way. Inspired by a documentary in which an American explores a gardening method that aligns with the original design of creation: "Back to Eden Gardening." This is an organic method that uses no tillage.

Due to his challenge as a gardener, Rinke no longer felt the need to reinvest in the photography business. In late summer 2023, he temporarily said goodbye to his career as a photographer. Not long after, his wife began working on her first book about regenerative agriculture. Rinke was able to use his experience to design the book for her and self-publish it. And so, "Heal the Land Publishing" was born. A new chapter in our lives in which we trust that God is leading us.
